Barcelona offer coaching role to Xavi

Barcelona have offered former midfielder Xavi the role of manager after the Spanish club sacked Ronald Koeman, according to Goal.

Xavi, who is coach of Al Sadd in Qatar, played for Barca from 1998 to 2015.

Xavi has an exit clause with the Qatar side but it is understood that he wants to move to Barcelona, who are prepared to pay the fee needed to secure the 41-year-old.
