Belief Not Enough Against City, We Have To Fight – Dortmund Coach, Edin Terzic
Borussia Dortmund interim manager Edin Terzic is aware of the task ahead of them against Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League quarter final and says that their belief will not be enough.
Dortmund lost the first leg 2-1 at the Etihad and need at least a 1-0 victory to proceed. Terzic says his team has a great belief but admits it will be a difficult task which they must work hard if they want to achieve it.
“The belief here is great, but that alone will not be enough,” he said during the press conference ahead of the game tomorrow.
“We have shown that we can hold out against top teams. It will be a brutally difficult task, we have to work hard and be courageous tomorrow.”
Dortmund are fifth on the Bundesliga, seven points behind Eintracht Frankfurt in fourth and risk missing out on the Champions League next season, which would make it difficult to hold on to their top stars in Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.
Manchester City are one of the clubs reported to be interested in Erling Haaland though Pep Guardiola downplays the transfer happening.
