Iheanacho’s Goal Against Burnley, Assisted By Ndidi Wins Leicester City Goal of The Month

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho had a blossoming time in March, he was called on for the injured Harvey Barnes and James Maddison. He paired up well with Vardy and scored five goal including a hattrick against Sheffield United.

He won the Premier League player of the month in March and was also rewarded with a new three years contract at Leicester City till 2024.

His first goal in March, a volley against Burnley after a pass lofted over the defence by compatriot and teammate Wilfred Ndidi had been named the goal of the month at the club

Both Iheanacho and Ndidi openly joked about it on Twitter, communicating in the Nigerian English derivative called Pidgin. Iheaancho told Ndidi to call him, and Ndidi said “senioman, your number no dey go”

Iheanacho responded saying “senioman dey sleep, phone was on flight mode.”

Both starred for Nigeria during the international break as the Super Eagles sealed qualification for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon next year.
