Super Eagles Move Up Four Places In New FIFA Ranking, Now Third In Africa
The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved up four places to 32 in the new FIFA rankings released this morning. The Eagles also leapfrogged Algeria to third in Africa.
The Eagles won their two competitive games in the March FIFA international window, beating Benin Republic and Sierra Leone en route qualification to the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
The Gernot Rohr led Eagles qualified for Africa’s ultimate tournament before their game against Benin Republic which they won 1-0 and added an icing to the cake with a comfortable 3-0 win over Lesotho in Lagos.
