Ivory Coast VS Ethiopia 2021 AFCON Qualifiers ends abruptly with 11 minutes left to play as Ghanian referee collapses.
Reports say Ghanian referee Charles Bulu who officiated the 2021 AFCON Qualifier between Ivory Coast and Ethiopia in Abidjan, collapsed while officiating the match and was stretched off the field in the 80th minute.
Ivory Coast were leading by 3-1 at the Stade Felix Houphouet- Boigny when the players noticed the officiating official was struggling to stand on his feet. The players swiftly tried to help him get on his feet but he slumped on the field and was stretched off.
With 11 minutes left to play, the match was called off as the fourth official, who was expected to take charge in the absence of the Ghanian referee was disqualified because he is from ivory coast.
The match was a dead rubber as both teams had already secured qualification to the 2021 African cup of Nations taking place in Cameroon, in 2022
