PSG players Di Maria and Marquinhos houses robbed in Paris
The families of PSG players Angel Di Maria and Marquinhos were robbed yesterday in Paris. The news was first reported by different French media outlets and confirmed by Le Parisiens.
Angel Di Maria was substituted in the 62nd minute of the 2-1 loss to Nantes after club director Leonardo received the news that his house was being robbed in what was described as a “violent robbery”. News broke later that the family of Marquinhos were also robbed.
It is not the first of such robbery incident in the last two years involving PSG players. Sergio Rico, Thiago Silva, Eric Maxim Choupo Moting amongst others have been robbed in that space of time.
Burgling footballer’s house has been on the high lately across Europe. Everton’s goalkeeper Rob Olsen and manager Carlo Ancelotti were also robbed in the past weeks.
Footballers are increasingly doing more for their own security by engaging highly paid security firms and buying expensive security dogs. Manchester City’s Kyle Walker recently bought a £40,000 Doberman.
