Ryan Giggs absence as Wales head coach continues

Ryan Giggs will not take charge of the upcoming international games for Wales, the FAW confirmed after a mutual agreement.

Giggs was arrested in November, 2020 on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend and has been absent from his role since then.

“The Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Ryan Giggs have mutually agreed that he will not be involved in the upcoming international camp.

“Robert Page will take charge for the next three matches against Belgium, Mexico and the Czech Republic and will be supported by Albert Stuivenberg as was the case during the last international window in November.”

The Manchester United legend was reported to have had an affair with his brother’s wife during his playing career amongst other scandals surrounding the Premier League appearance record holder.
