Thomas Müller ready to return to Germany national team

Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Müller says he is ready to return to the Germany national team after growing calls for Joachim Löw to recall him, Mat Hummels and Jerome Boateng.

The trio have not played for the national team since the end of 2018 despite not announcing their retirement from the national team and Löw has dropped an hint they could be recalled.

Speaking to Sky Sports Germany after Bayern’s 4-2 Klassiker win over Borussia Dortmund, he said:

“I feel like chasing titles in the summer. We’ll see if it’s the end for me after the Champions League final or whether I will play for the national team. I’m definitely ready.”

Müller was an important part of Germany’s 2014 World Cup winning squad. Germany are drawn in group F for the delayed Euro 2020 with Portugal, France and Hungary.
