Leicester City and Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho claims it was the Foxes’ desire to win that helped Brendan Rodger’s side beat Brighton at the Amex.

Leicester fell behind under ten minutes to a Adam Lallana’s strike. Iheanacho pulled Leicester level on the stroke of hour mark before Daniel Amartey headed home Marc Albrighton’s corner in the 88th minute to win it for Leicester.

“We’re all delighted and happy,” he told LCFC TV. “It was a little bit poor in the first half, but we came back in the second half.

“We had hunger in the second half, and we did the job. We came back, we equalised, and we got the win. I’m happy! I’m happy with the goal. I was composed and I just dipped it over the ‘keeper, so we’re happy.”

The goal was Iheanacho’s seventh of the season in all competitions for Leicester and the win moved Leicester into second, two points above Manchester United who play leaders Manchester City later today.
