Inter Milan to end 26years shirt sponsorship deal with Pirelli
Italian giants Inter Milan will bring their sponsorship deal with Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli to an end at the end of the season, both parties have confirmed.
One of football’s most iconic partnerships began in the 1995/96 season when Inter Milan first spotted “Pirelli” in front of their jersey.
Inter Milan won Five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia, four Supercoppa Italia, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup and one Club World Cup with Pirelli but last won a trophy in the 2010/11 season, the Coppa Italia.
“We won’t be Inter’s kit sponsor anymore, but our relationship with the club will continue.” Pirelli chief executive Marco Tronchetti Provera said of the £10m per season deal.
Inter could say a goodbye to Pirelli with a Scudetto win. Inter are top of the Serie A and hold a four point advantage over rivals AC Milan.
