Bundesliga referee Arne Aarnink made his officiating debut today after the first official injured himself in the warm-up.
Benjamin Brand, 31, has been officiating in the Bundesliga since 2015 and was designated to officiate the matchday nine game between Borussia Dortmund and Cologne at the Signal Iduna Park before withdrawing due to injury during the warm up.
His injury handed the 35year old Aarnink his officiating debut and he oversaw a 1-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund.
