RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann says he could imagine managing in the Premier League in future because it is an interesting league and follow in the steps of compatriot Jürgen Klopp.

“The Premier League is a very interesting league and I can imagine it could be a big aim to be a big manager in the Premier League one day like Jurgen who is very successful. It could be a step in the future,” he told the Telegraph ahead of Leipzig’s match against Liverpool in the Champions League.

“I could imagine going to the Premier League. I could imagine staying as a manager in the Bundesliga for my whole career. It’s cool to be a manager in my own country, I love it. But then perhaps in the future we can meet face-to-face in the Premier League, who knows.”

Nagelsmann is one of the exciting young managers in Europe and according to reports has attracted interest from top European clubs such as Chelsea and Real Madrid but will put English clubs on alert with these words.

Nagelsmann, 33, began his coaching career with Hoffenheim after a serious injury ended his career and lifted Hoffenheim from a relegation threatened club to a club competing in Europe.

He is leading Leipzig to challenge the monopoly of Bayern Munich and they’re currently second on the Bundesliga table, four points behind the champions.
