Everton midfielder James Rodriguez has dismissed rumours he could return to Real Madrid next season, saying no one wants him there and that he’s happy at Everton.

Rodriguez joined his former boss Carlo Ancelotti who had coached him at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich at Everton in the summer and has scored five goals and four assists in the Premier League.

His performances have instigated rumours in the media that a move to Real Madrid or any other club could be on the cards but the Colombian during a live stream on Twitch, quoted by Daily Mirror, dismissed the speculation.

“It is not in my plans, to be honest,” he said. “Who knows what could happen in two, three or four years because anything can happen in football, but I don’t think so. At the moment no.

“No one wants me there. It is part of football.” the 30year old added. He helped Everton beat Liverpool at Anfield for the first time in 22years by assisting Richarlison for the opening goal.
