Ogenyi Onazi joins Lithuanian champions Žalgiris

Nigerian international midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has joined Lithuanian champions Žalgiris. Onazi has been a free agent since leaving Danish side Sonderjyske in January.

Onazi, 28, began his European football journey with Italian side SS Lazio where he won the Coppa Italia. He has also played for Turkish clubs Trabzonspor and Denizlispor.

Onazi is a full Nigerian international and has 52 caps for Nigeria. He was a midfield mainstay of the 2013 AFCON winning squad and also represented the country in the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups.
