Neymar and Di Maria’s absence is a positive for us, says Jordi Alba

PSG attacking duo Neymar and Angel Di Maria will miss tomorrow’s important Champions League game against Barcelona at Camp Nou due to injuries.

Jordi Alba, a former teammate of Neymar and an opponent of Di Maria on a few occasions before admitted it is a positive thing for Barcelona to have those two menacing forwards out of the game.

“I will not lie, I think from our perspective, the absence of Neymar and Di Maria is positive.” Alba said during the press conference ahead of the game.

Ronald Koeman believes Barcelona are in a good form and can beat any team and that the match would be fairly even, Alba agrees while also noting they have injuries of their own.

“It will be a competitive match that will be decided with little details. We also have two injured players that are extremely important.” he said.

Barcelona have centre-backs Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo out to injuries as well as youngster Ansu Fati who underwent another surgery on his knee.
