“Leave Messi alone, thief” – Barça fans insult PSG president
Lionel Messi has been a subject of transfer speculation out of Barcelona with his contract set to expire in the summer and PSG is one of the clubs who are interested in taking the six time world player of the year as a free agent.
Elements from within the Paris club including president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Neymar and Marco Veratti have not been silent on wanting Messi much to the dismay of Barca head coach Ronald Koeman who accused the Parisians of talking too much.
PSG and Barcelona are set to face in the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday at Camp Nou. Al-Khelaifi arrived in Barcelona with the team and Cules didn’t hide their displeasure at him.
Spanish media outlet El Golazo de Gol shared a video of Barça supporters shouting “leave Messi alone, thief!” and “give me a million euros!”
Barcelona got the better of PSG the last time they met in the Champions League in 2017. Neymar inspired Barcelona to overcome a first leg 4-0 and beat PSG 6-1.
