The Premier League has seen a further drop in the number of positive cases among players and staff of clubs. The league recorded seven new cases between January 25 and 31.
“The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 25 January and Sunday 31 January, across two rounds of testing, 2,957 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, there were seven new positive tests.”
The drop in cases is a boost for continuation of the season as there were growing concerns for halting the season when there were a high number of cases recorded.
