Phil Neville appointed Inter Miami head coach
MLS side Inter Miami CF have announced the appointment of Phil Neville as their new head coach after parting ways with former manager Diego Alonso last month.
Neville vacated the Three Lionesses job earlier today after three years to link up with the MLS club partly owned by former teammate David Beckham.
“This is a very young club with a lot of promise and upside, and I am committed to challenging myself, my players and everyone around me to grow and build a competitive soccer culture we can all be proud of.” Neville said.
“This fantastic soccer-loving market deserves consistent performances and a winning mentality, and I look forward to getting to work.”
Neville played over 300 times for Manchester United during his playing career and won the Premier League six times, the FA Cup three times and the UEFA Champions League once, including winning the treble in 1998-99. He also played over 300 games for Everton and 59 times for the Three Lions.
