Premier League record 36 new cases of coronavirus


The Premier League has recorded 36 new cases of coronavirus across two rounds of tests in a week for players and clubs staff, as contained in a statement released by the league:

“The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 4 January and Sunday 10 January, across two rounds of testing, 2,593 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, there were 36 new positive tests.”

The identity and clubs where the cases were recorded were not revealed.
