The draw for the 2021 UEFA Nations League finals was made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon Switzerland this evening. Belgium will face neighbors France while Spain will match up with Italy. The finals will take place in Italy from October 6-10, 2021

Belgium have had slightly the better of their 75 meetings with neighbours France to date: W30 D19 L26. The sides last met in the 2018 FIFA World Cup semi-finals, Les Bleus prevailing 1-0 en route to becoming world champions.

Italy’s record in 35 encounters with Spain is W10 D13 L12, with their most recent meeting coming at UEFA EURO 2016, where the Azzurri beat Spain 2-0 in Saint-Denis in the round of 16. That was some consolation for Spain’s 4-0 win in the final of UEFA EURO 2016 in Kyiv.

The Finals match chart.

The UEFA Nations League finals will be staged at two of Italy’s most famous stadiums, the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium (San Siro) in Milan will host the semi-final between Italy and Spain on Wednesday 6 October as well as the final on 10 October. Turin’s Juventus Stadium will host the semi-final between Belgium and France on 7 October as well as the match for third place on 10 October.
