Jose Mourinho took over at Spurs in November 2019 after the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino and it’d not be an over-statement to say that the special one has transformed the club.

One of the much talked about change Mourinho has brought to the club is the right mentality, I asked Lucas Moura if his words about building the right mentality under Jose means they didn’t have the rich mentality under Pochettino.

“I don’t mean this. I don’t like to speak about previous coaches, I can only speak about our situation now, about the coach we have now. Mauricio, he had a good time here, he did alot for the club, and he did really well for the club,” he said.

“Now it’s a new time, everyone knows Mourinho, everyone knows he is a winner. He got a trophy where he was and for sure he wants to win here and I want to win with him because I think we like I said we deserve to win a trophy, because in the last 10years the club did very well and didn’t win, I think now is the time we have a great manager and we have great players and we need to think about this.”

In March 2020 ahead of their Champions League against RB Leipzig, Mourinho told me “I have won everywhere I have been to, I will win at Tottenham too.” Tottenham on top in the Premier League and are in the Europa League doing quite well.

“I have a very good feeling about the season, I know that it’s too early to speak about the trophy but to win the Premier League, every game is important,” the Brazilian said on if this is the year that Tottenham will win a trophy.

“I know that at the end of the season the points that we get now would be very important, that’s why I need to think in every game like the final and be competitive and be aggressive and do our best, and like I said we need to believe, we need to trust in our team, in our club and to believe that it’s possible because in football everything is possible.” he concluded.
