Villarreal boss Unai Emery has praised Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze for his growth and performances for the club but also admitted the young pacy winger could move on in the future.
Emery said this while responding to the question regarding Chukwueze’s future from Nigerian journalist Babtunde Ojora of OJBSPORT during his press conference ahead of Villarreal’s Europa League game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
“We are very happy with Samuel Chukwueze, he’s growing up with us at this club. His performance is getting better little by little but above all we want to achieve with him our performance with his skills and capacity. He’s young and has a very good future but first he’s with us trying to get better with his performance for us and the national team,” the former Arsenal boss said.
“In the future he can go to another league to grow up more, but I think he’s very happy with us and every match he plays, he tries to give the best performance.”
Chukwueze has been with the Yellow Submarines since breaking out in Europe in 2018 and there are several speculations linking him to Premier League clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
