Ex U-17 Captain Samson Tijani Delighted To Make European Debut

Former captain of the Golden Eaglets, Samson Tijani made his European debut as his Austrian club side, FC Hartberg lost 3-2 against Polish side Piast Gliwice.
Tijani, speaking to Omasports after the game said he feels very happy and it’s a pointer to the steady progress he’s making in his career.
“I feel very happy to play in Europe for the first time. I really hope it’s the beginning of greater things to come for my career,” Tijani said as he rued his team’s loss away from home.
The 18-year old midfield sensation played 89 minutes for Hartberg and was replaced by Michael Huber.
Tijani is being monitored by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who also revealed his admiration of him in an interview with Omasports.
Hartberg travelled to Poland to prosecute their game in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
He is owned by Austrian giants FC Salzburg and he has beaten imaginations after starting in matches for Hartberg who are campaigning in Europe.
