Quizzed about his personality, he revealed he is a fun person and a lively footballer.

“I’m the type of person who’s always bringing fun and joy to the whole team. That will always be Leon Bailey. It doesn’t matter the situation we’re in; either good or bad, I’m always the positive one, always trying to make everybody be in a good mood, because I believe as a player, when everyone is feeling good, that’s when you can get the best out of everybody.”

Bailey was asked further about his role models growing up and he expressed his huge admiration for former Brazilian international and a man with the magic feet, Ronaldinho.

“When I was younger, I really admired Ronaldinho a lot because of his style of play. He’s very interesting, and as you can see when he plays, he brings a lot of flair to his game. It’s an enjoyment to watch, people like to come and watch to see something special going on, on the pitch. Yeah, I really admired him when I was younger,” he said.

After waiting in futility for a German or Three Lions Call-up, Bailey decided to team up with the Jamaican senior national team, whom he represented in the 2019 Gold Cup.

Asked about his dream in football, he said he hopes to make a big name from the game and leave a bankable experience for the coming generation.

He also expressed his huge passion for his country of birth, Jamaica and aims to show everyone that they can achieve the best of they truly believe in what they have.

“My dream is to leave a legacy for the younger generation, also for my country, Jamaica, to let them see that there is possibility for everyone. If you put your mind to it, you can achieve it. I see myself playing at the highest level, hopefully winning Champions League, and leave a legacy.”
