Tammy Abraham is unperturbed by the criticisms that have come his way after choosing to play for the Three Lions over Nigeria.

Abraham, speaking to Omasports after Chelsea’s 0-1 defeat of Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam said he feels he is taking the right steps because Nigeria and England wants him.

While he expressed his excitement at Wizkid’s performance at the O2 Arena, he said he was proud to see Nigerians come out en masse like that, at that level. ”For me it’s great to be wanted by Nigeria and England. Clearly I’m doing something right. Obviously I want to play for England.

On not getting enough chances, he said; ”You never know in football. It’s just a start, I’m only 22 and by God’s grace I have many more years to come and I keep believing.

Tammy may not have turned out for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles but he still loves the Nigerian culture and music. He was at the 02 Arena to witness the performance of Nigerian pop star Wizkid.

”I was proud to see Wizkid at the O2 Arena. I saw Davido, and it was proud to see so many Nigerians there, at that level,” he said with a big smile lacing his face.
