Chelsea defender, Fikayo Tomori has said he is yet to receive a senior call up from any coun

Tomori, speaking after Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat of Lille said he is open to international call ups but is focused on his Chelsea career.

In the interview, he spoke about the hostility of the Lille Metropole stadium, Chelsea’s chances against group leaders, Ajax Amsterdam, and his international future.

”For sure, with the result being a much needed one in a hostile stadium like this, it’s good to get a team.

On meeting Ajax in the next round of games, Tomori said; ”I expect a strong team but we are growing as a team now and we know if we give a very good game and play at the top of our level, we can beat anyone. We’ve got people ourselves in good position now and we have our first three points. Hopefully, we keep improving.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard spoke highly of Tomori and the defender appreciated him for his confidence in him.

”Hearing that the manager has confidence and faith in me is good and only makes me play better. He’s been helping a lot from last year at Derby and this year he has helped me. He has told me what I need to improve on and I’m just trying to do that.

Fikayo is eligible to represent Three countries at senior level and they are Nigeeia, Canada and England.

On his international future, ”Let’s see what happens, I haven’t been called by anyone yet, I’m just focused on Chelsea and playing well, let’s see what happens.”
