Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has said he doesn’t have much say on Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham’s international future.
Lampard also expressed huge trust in Abraham and Tomori extolling the Anglo-Nigerian players on how well he has improved.
The Chelsea manager spoke to the media in Lille, France ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions league clash against LOSC Lille. On Tomori, ”My trust in him is pretty evident because it’s my choice to keep him despite several Premier League clubs trying to get him on loan because I believe in him. ”I have four very good centre backs who are good on 1 v 1 situations.
Tomori has helped himself in the race and has done well to officially compete for one of the four places. ”On top of that, I must say he must keep working and improving and if he can stay on this level, he has lots more coming from him. ”On Tammy Abraham, he has gone on more loans, has scored a lot of goals in the Championship and was given an opportunity which he has taken really well. ”He trains well, is a great personality and plays in close proximity against defenders. Like Fikayo, he has to keep working hard, training and improving. He has a lot more to do, and has been brilliant for us. ”On their international futures, I don’t have much to say about that because it’s their choice.
It depends on what they and their families want on their international career. ”If they seek my opinion, I can give an advice from a footballing sense. Other than that, I don’t have much to say.”
Football fans in Nigeria are anxious to see Tammy and Fikayo represnts Nigeria haven broke into limelight at Chelsea this season but there are speculations that Tammy favours England ahead of the country of his parents but it reamains to be seen if he would eventually opt for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
