Bayern Munich star man, Thomas Muller has stayed bullish ahead of the Bavarians’ last league match of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as the DFB Pokal final clash with RB Leipzig in two weeks.
Bayern Munich fired blanks against Leipzig, this time in a Bundesliga fixture at the weekend. Had Bayern won, they would have sealed the Bundesliga title for 2018/2019. The Bavarians will now have to wait till the final weekend to possibly win the league title.
Muller, expressing confidence from the team’s display against Leipzig in the league game said Bayern are in the right frame of mind to approach the game against Eintracht Frankfurt.
”We must shake off the outcome of this game. It is always difficult for many teams to play here in Leipzig, but we turned it around and made it uncomfortable for them, and that is a confidence booster for us. They are lucky it ended in a goalless draw. This one point will push us to give our best in the last game, and we want to win and lift the title.
“We practised on creating goal-scoring opportunities, and We also practised on winning duels. You don’t see Bayern leading in duels in most of our games, but we want to show that in our next game, and with the support of our fans, we hope to build more self-confidence. I am personally convinced that we would bring this ability back on the pitch next weekend.
We have to relax and prepare for next weekend so that we can show our usual emotions and football culture on that day.”
After the weekend potential title-winning clash against Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern will then switch their focus on the DFB Pokal final match against Leipzig in Berlin. Muller had this to say ahead of the encounter.
”Just Like every football match, If you saw the champions league games in the last two weeks, you will understand that in football anything can happen
We will not change our style of play in the Final. We know that it will be very uncomfortable in some phase. When we do our job well and stay calm whenever we have the ball, we can create chances,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig will clash once again, on Saturday 25th of May to determine who takes the prestigious DFB Pokal, at the famous Berlin Olympic stadium in Berlin.
