Ahead of the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions league final this wednesday, a team comprising of Olympique Lyonnais legends will play a team made up of former international players who have studied on
UEFA’s MIP programme.
The event will take place at 19:00 on Tuesday 15 May at the Groupama Olympique
Lyonnais, 8 rue Mélina Mercouri 69 330 Meyzieu.
The likes of Florent Malouda, Sidney Govou, Grégory Coupet, and Sonny Anderson have
all confirmed they will play for the Olympique Lyonnais legends side. The UEFA MIP
team will be represented by former international stars, such as Éric Abidal, Nuno
Gomes, Bianca Rech and Christian Karembeu.
Set up in November 2015, the UEFA Executive Master for International Players (MIP)
initiative is a course that equips high-profile international players to transfer
their playing strengths into effective management skills in order for them to have a
successful career off the pitch after they hang up their boots.
