Nigeria’s Leon Balogun suffered a Metacarpal fracture on his left hand on Friday as his team Mainz 05 prepared for the weekend’s Bundesliga fixture against FC Cologn. The injury saw him miss his team’s 1-0 victory over Cologne on Saturday.
He has undergone surgery and recovering very well according to the information on the club’s website.
omasports gathered that Balogun is likely to return in the coming weeks to be part of his team’s final games of the first round of the Bundesliga season.

Balogun has gone through series of injuries in the past, having to play for Nigeria in the game against Algeria wearing protective gears as a result of the cheekbone fracture he suffered prior to the last two games he featured in for Nigeria. Algeria and Argentina.
