Manchester City’s Leroy Sane has been named Premier League Player of the Month for October.
Sane, who joined City in 2016 played a crucial role in City’s 100% winning record in October as the team got nine points from nine in their three games, continued their unbeaten run in the Premier League and opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.
The 21-year-old German national team player scored three goals and provided three further assists during the month in question, having a direct hand in nearly half (46%) of all 13 goals the team scored as a whole.
Sane’s personal goal tally for the season is now six in 11 games and eight in all competitions.
He is the first City player to be named Premier League Player of the Month since Raheem Sterling took home the prize in August of last season.
City boss Pep Guardiola has also won the October Manager of the Month award.
Eight points clear, City will resume their title charge with an away trip to Leicester this weekend after kicking off November with a 3-1 win against Arsenal.
