Despite flirting with Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan this summer, there is no love lost between Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Borussia Dortmund says Sporting director Michael Zorc who has come out to praise the top striker in a very glowing fashion.
“Auba (as he is fondly called at the club) is not just loved by the club and the fans but also the city. I love this player,” Zorc enthused. He went on to say: “I’m very glad he Aubameyang stayed with us.”
Only recently, the Gabonese expressed his disappointment at the sudden change of mind by the club in the summer after both parties agreed he could leave if a good offer comes.
“We had an agreement with the management of Borussia Dortmund that I could go, but it did not happen,” Aubameyang told the French radio station Radio Monte Carlo (RMC).
But there is no trace of frustration on the striker on the pitch he has already continued from where he left off last season with five Bundesliga Bundesliga goals already in the bag.
“Aubameyang is a professional through and through and always wants maximum success,” explains Zorc.
The trainer Peter Bosz seems also satisfied with the work ethic performance of the 28-year-old: “Auba does not seem to be disappointed, he is very satisfied here in Dortmund.” he says.
