Chelsea held on to claim a point against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
Both teams had come into the encounter on the back of impressive wins in the new season, but it was Chelsea who drew first blood with a fantastic header from Kai Havertz in the 22nd minute to go 1–0 up.
However, a goal-mouth scramble at the stroke of half-time saw Reece James sent off after he was deemed to have handled the ball. Liverpool earned a penalty as a result, and Mohamed Salah converted with ease.
Liverpool would ramp up the pressure in the second half, but the European champions held on doggedly to claim an important point away from home.
Both teams now have 7 points each after three league games this season.
