Creativity is part of life and footballers are not left out. Nigerian international and Watford central defender William Troost-Ekong has gone innovative in his self-marketing on social media as he seemingly seeks sponsors for his football boots.
Troost-Ekong has posted photos of himself in the training ground with a pair of football boots declaring that interested business brands are free to do business with him on his football boots.
On his twitter and on Instagram photos just released, Troost-Ekong inscribed on the outside of his right boot the words “They are free agents”,while on the outside of the left he had the words “Insert brand here”.
The 27’year old light-skinned mixed-race Nigerian international has formed a strong partnership with another mixed-raced player Leon Balogun at the heart the the Nigerian Super Eagles central defence over the years. Their partnership is fondly referred to as “The Oyibo wall.”
Troost-Ekong will certainly be open to big business brands bring in huge bucks to have their names on his boots come the 2021/22 season as he files out for premier League side Watford.
