Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva has given an honest reflection on his past seasons at AC Milan and Sevilla, tagging it as a “motivation” that made him a more mature player.

Silva joined AC Milan from Porto in 2017 and after an underwhelming first season was sent on loan to Sevilla before he was again sent on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt who made the loan permanent at the beginning of the season.

He has scored 19 goals and assisted a further three in the Bundesliga this season. He has now looked back on past failures which he wishes he’d forget as motivation.

“I’m fine, even if the enthusiasm comes and goes. I am the second best scorer in Europe and I want to continue like this, I would like to win the Golden Boot,” he told MilanLive.

“I only think about my present. The strong criticism I have received in the past in other countries have motivated me. Today I am a more mature player, I can say that I have played in almost all the best leagues.”

His goal of winning the Golden Boot faces the toughest challenge set by FIFA World Player of the year Robert Lewandowski who has scored 28 Bundesliga goals. Rumours have it that Silva is attracting interest from Manchester United.
