Super Falcons captain and Barcelona Femeni striker Asisat Oshoala was on target four times as the Falcons made it three wins from three in the group stage of the Antalya Gold Cup with a 9-0 demolition of African rivals Equatorial Guinea.
Ogbonna Kanu opened the scoring in the eight minute before Oshoala scored twice from the penalty spot and completed her hattrick before halftime as the Falcons were seven up at half time with other goals coming from Uchenna Kanu, Charity Adule and Toni Payne.
Equatorial Guinea had enough of the goalkeeper that conceded seven in the first half and substituted her in the 63rd minute. Nigeria added two more goals in the second half through Gift Monday and Asisat Oshoala’s fourth.
The Falcons finished top of their group with nine points, 11 goals scored and no goal conceded. Nigeria is through to the next round where they will find out their knockout stage opponents later today.
