Nigerian international striker Josh Maja was on target twice last night as Fulham recorded their first ever Premier League win at Goodison Park over Everton, a 2-0 win.
The striker who joined Fulham on loan from French side Bordeaux on deadline day scored two second half goals, the first from a cross from compatriot Ola Aina and the second a tap-in to seal the victory for the London side at Merseyside.
“This is a night I have been dreaming about for a long time. I had a feeling it was coming and pleased it became a reality,” Maja told BBC Sports after the match.
“We took our chances when it came and put in another good performance again, we want to continue like this.”
Maja began his professional career at Sunderland having played youth football with Crystal Palace, Fulham and Manchester City. He represents Nigeria internationally and made his debut for the Super Eagles OK September 10, 2019 in a 2-2 draw with Ukraine.
