Super Eagles AFCON qualifier match against Lesotho to be played in Lagos

The AFCON qualifiers second leg match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Lesotho would be played at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Earlier today the Lagos State Sports Commission Chairman Sola Aiyepeku, NFF 1st VP Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr inspected the facility to be used in March 2021.

The Super Eagles last home game, a 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone was played in Benin and there were complaints of difficulty in flights from players and staff of the team.

Nigeria won the reverse fixture 4-2 in Lesotho with goals from Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and a brace from Victor Osimhen. Nigeria sit top of group L with 8 points from four games.
