Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has given an honest take on Arsenal’s loss against Wolves. The Spaniard claimed Arsenal don’t get beaten but lose against themselves in most of their matches.
Nicolas Pepe put the Gunners ahead before a David Luiz red card and Ruben Neves penalty drew the match level at halftime. Wolves added a second through a Joao Moutinho 30yards screamer before goalkeeper Bernd Leno also saw red for handling the ball outside the box.
“I always say that teams are not beating us, we are losing against ourselves. It’s for us to learn. Hopefully this will be the last time. We were on such a good run, great momentum, great confidence in the team.” Bellerin told arsenal.com after the match.
The loss ended Arsenal’s seven games unbeaten run and leaves the Gunners 10th on the Premier League table, further denting their hopes of Champions League football next season.
