Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world – Cafu

Brazilian legend Cafu has named Spain and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos as the best defender in the world, describing him as tactically and technically gifted.

“He’s the best defender in the world, without a doubt. He’s very good technically and tactically. He’s a great captain and a leader who always drives his team forward. I’d always like to have him in my team.” Cafu said to Marca ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final between Bayern Munich and Tigres UANL.

Sergio Ramos is in the final months of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and is yet to agree to another contract and according to multiple reports he could leave the club after sixteen years.

“I’m not the president of Real Madrid. It’s a difficult situation, but he’s an exemplary player.” he said on Ramos contract situation.
